Why Video Inspection Is the First Step
There is no way to properly diagnose a sewer or drain problem without seeing inside the pipe. Symptoms like slow drains, recurring backups, or sewage odors can have multiple possible causes โ and the right repair depends entirely on knowing exactly what is wrong and where. Guessing leads to unnecessary work and money spent on solutions that do not fix the actual problem.
Our camera inspection system uses a self-leveling, waterproof HD camera mounted on a flexible push-rod cable with onboard LED lighting. The camera feeds live video to a monitor that you watch in real time alongside our technician. Every inspection is digitally recorded, and you receive a copy. When we recommend a repair, you are looking at the same footage we are โ roots, cracks, pipe sag, or scale โ not taking our word for it.
What Our Camera Can Find
Tree Root Intrusion
Roots enter through cracked joints and grow over time. The camera shows exactly how severe the intrusion is and where โ so we know whether jetting will clear it or if the pipe needs replacement.
Cracked or Broken Pipe
Clay tile and cast iron pipes develop cracks from ground movement, freeze-thaw cycles, and age. A crack that is letting in roots or groundwater will get worse โ the camera tells you how urgent it is.
Pipe Sag / Belly
A sagged section collects standing water and solids that no amount of cleaning will permanently resolve. Only a camera can confirm a belly โ snaking and jetting cannot detect it.
Joint Offset or Separation
When pipe sections shift out of alignment, they create ledges that catch debris and allow soil infiltration. Offsets worsen over time and eventually lead to collapse if not addressed.
Scale and Mineral Buildup
In older Havertown, Swarthmore, and Media homes with iron pipes, mineral scale builds up over decades and reduces flow capacity to a fraction of the original pipe diameter.
Foreign Objects
Wipes, rags, toys, and construction debris get stuck in pipes and cause persistent blockages. The camera finds them in seconds โ no excavation required to locate the problem.
How the Inspection Process Works
Access the Pipe
We enter the line through your floor cleanout, roof vent stack, or toilet opening โ whatever gives the best access to the affected section of pipe. No cutting required in most cases.
Camera Run
We push the camera through the line, monitoring the live feed as we go. You watch alongside us. We narrate what we are seeing and note GPS locations for any defects we find.
On-Site Review
When we pull the camera back, we review the key findings with you on screen. We show you exactly what we found, where it is in the line, and how serious it is.
Report and Recording
You receive a digital copy of the full inspection video and a written report with our findings and recommendation. No pressure โ just the facts so you can make the right decision.
Free With Every Repair โ or Stand-Alone
Every trenchless sewer repair, hydro jetting job, or drain service we perform includes a free HD camera inspection. We run the camera before the work to confirm our diagnosis, and after to show you the finished result. You should always be able to see what you paid for.
Stand-alone camera inspections are also available throughout Delaware County โ for real estate transactions, pre-purchase due diligence, permit applications, or simply peace of mind on an older home. We serve Havertown, Drexel Hill, Media, Swarthmore, Newtown Square, Lansdowne, Glenolden, Norwood, Ridley Park, Upper Darby, Broomall, Aston, and every other community in the county.
